Questions, answered

Common questions from patients and referring dentists. Don’t see yours? Give us a call.

What do you focus on?

We are an endodontic specialist practice — we focus exclusively on root canal treatment, microsurgery and saving natural teeth. We do not provide general dentistry; you keep seeing your own dentist for cleanings, fillings and the rest of your care.

What happens at a consultation?

A consultation runs about 30–45 minutes and is for diagnosis only — we review your history, examine the tooth, take any imaging needed and explain your options. Treatment is not usually done the same day; we book it once we’ve confirmed the diagnosis.

How should I prepare for my visit?

Take your regular medications as usual, and premedicate if your physician or dentist has advised it. Unless your doctor has told you otherwise (or it’s contraindicated for you), taking about 400 mg of ibuprofen roughly one hour before your appointment can help with comfort.

How does payment work?

Full payment is due at the time of service, even if you have insurance. We complete and submit your insurance claim so you’re reimbursed directly. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Union Pay, debit and cheque.

What is GentleWave®?

GentleWave® is an advanced fluid system that thoroughly cleans the root-canal system. Where it’s appropriate for your case, it lets us clean deep into the canals — often completing treatment in a single visit.

How much will it cost?

Cost varies by case, so we give you a clear estimate after the consultation. Specialist endodontic treatment differs from a general-dentist fee, and insurance usually covers only part of it.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for 48 working hours’ notice to change or cancel an appointment, so we can offer the time to another patient in pain.
